Cartea „Îngeri fără aripi” vă va aduce zâmbetul pe buze și vă va face să conștientizați lucruri încă necunoscute vouă. Vă întrebați probabil cum poate o carte scrisă de o persoană, care își povestește viața de distrofic, să îți provoace zâmbete.Uite așa, Adriana nu este un scriitor oarecare, ce relatează suferința cu intenția de a-i plânge de milă oricărei persoane cu dizabilități, ci transformă totul într-un banc nesfârșit cu olteni.
Poate cu ușurință să te pună în fața scenei, să trăiești alături de ea experințe și să iei viața la trântă, să nu te lași învins orice ar fi.
Expresiile ei oltenești se împletesc atât de natural în firul poveștii încât, parcă, o ai în fața ta și îți vorbește. Frapează prin sinceritatea, prin sensibilitate ascunsă în spatele unei poante și mai ales prin combinația perfectă dintre veselie și tristețe.

Drama copilului care știe că nu este ca ceilalți, drama adolescentului care se izolează de lume pentru a se proteja de eventuale vorbe și priviri răutăcioase, drama femeii cu dizabilitate care iubește și se luptă cu toată ființa pentru a fi lângă persoana iubită.
Autoarea cărții a trăit din plin aceste drame și multe alte, a trăit într-o lume care îți pune piedici la orice încercare de normalitate, la orice dorință de a te ridica din condiția ta de om care s-a născut altfel.
În lumea satului, unde totul este îngrădit de prejudecăți străvechi, adânci înrădăcinate în mintea omului, este aproape imposibil să te simți integrat și să ai sentimentul că „altfel” nu înseamnă ceva rău ci diferit.
Nu poți face față tuturor aceste piedici sociale decât prin curaj și umor. Adriana le are pe amândouă și romanul ei nu este despre fața tragică a vieții ci despre realitatea lucidă luată la trântă.
